Volunteering is the core of the 2024 ICF Canoe Marathon World Championships in Metkovic. This event is made possible by the dedicated efforts of volunteers who contribute their passion and expertise to every phase of the competition. From planning and organizational tasks to physically setting up the course and managing every aspect of the event, our volunteers are the heartbeat of this incredible Championships.
At the heart of this World Championships is the Rowing Club Neretvanski Gusar from Metkovic. The club’s members are instrumental within our Organizational committee, driving the event’s success with their extensive knowledge and unwavering commitment. Their involvement highlights the spirit of volunteerism that energizes the entire Championships, reflecting their leadership and dedication.
Officials
Ensuring fair and high-quality competitions at World Championsips relies on the expertise of our officials. This dedicated team includes both International Technical Officials (ITOs) and National Technical Officials (NTOs), and who work meticulously to uphold the rules and deliver accurate results. Their presence at key points along the marathon course is essential for the smooth and equitable conduct of the races.
We take great pride in our NTOs, who demonstrated their exceptional skills at the European Championships in Slavonski Brod last year. Their performance showcased their knowledge and competence on an international stage. We are optimistic that with their expertise and experience, they will continue to participate in an increasing number of international events, further advancing their officiating careers and deepening their passion for the sport.
